I Want To Walk Randomly And Alone To Find Something Remarkable

I recently had a conversation with a friend about how freeing it feels to literally just walk away from a situation or problem. As much as this sounds like the anti-solution, it really got me thinking. I can distinctively remember several times when I have removed myself from a confrontation to walk it off.  So maybe it’s not really running away at all. Running away from the sound and the voices maybe, but never the thoughts. Walking with your thoughts alone, making it easier to sort through the ideas, the worries, the issues.

I think I need one of these walks right about now.

Peace,

  1. Aww…I’m sorry you need one of those walks right now, but i really like the idea of leaving confrontation and walking it off. I do that too. I used to walk along the Charles, sometimes with my ipod in, and then just sit and stare until I felt better. Well, sometimes I would cry and it wouldn’t feel better, but ummmm still.
